School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Position near Portland, ME
Soliant is in search of a highly motivated and seasoned Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in proximity to Portland, ME. This role is based in a school setting, and the ideal candidate will collaborate closely with students to enhance their speech and language skills. The position spans the entire upcoming school year.
Position Details:
- Full-time
- Entire upcoming school year
- Multiple openings with varying caseloads
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to pinpoint students' strengths and areas for improvement in speech and language
- Develop and execute treatment plans tailored to each student's unique needs and objectives
- Preference for school-based or pediatric experience, though not mandatory
- Deliver individual and group therapy sessions to enhance articulation, language comprehension, and communication skills
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal care for each student
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and treatment plans
- Participate in meetings, training sessions, and workshops to stay updated on the latest therapy techniques and best practices
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active State Speech-Language Pathology License
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience is desirable
- Experience with various treatment approaches and modalities, including AAC, PROMPT, and social communication interventions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, teachers, and parents
- Ability to uphold accurate and organized records, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks
