School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Position - Chesapeake, VA
Soliant is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team near Chesapeake, VA. This role is situated within a school environment, and we are looking for an ideal candidate who can work closely with students to improve their speech and language abilities throughout the upcoming school year.
Position Details:
- Full-time position
- Entire upcoming school year commitment
- Multiple openings available with varying caseloads
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths and areas needing improvement in speech and language
- Create and implement personalized treatment plans based on each student's unique needs and goals
- Preference for candidates with school-based or pediatric experience, although not mandatory
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to enhance articulation, language comprehension, and communication skills
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for each student
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and treatment plans
- Participate in meetings, training sessions, and workshops to stay informed about the latest therapy techniques and best practices
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active State Speech-Language Pathology License
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings is preferred
- Familiarity with various treatment approaches and modalities, such as AAC, PROMPT, and social communication interventions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- Proficiency in organizing and managing accurate records, time, and tasks effectively
