Job Description: Soliant, in partnership with school districts in the Houston, TX area, is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for a rewarding contract position. As an SLPA, you will play a crucial role in assisting licensed speech-language pathologists in providing speech and language services to students, helping them achieve their communication goals and thrive academically.
Responsibilities:
- Implement speech and language therapy interventions as directed by the supervising speech-language pathologist.
- Collaborate with educators and other members of the multidisciplinary team to support students' communication needs within the educational setting.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communication interventions.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute valuable insights to student intervention plans.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or related field.
- Valid Texas Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) license or eligibility for licensure.
- At least one year of recent experience working as an SLPA in a school-based setting.
- Knowledge of relevant therapy techniques and interventions for speech and language disorders.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
