Job Description: Soliant and its affiliates are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a school-based contract position in Grass Valley, CA. As an SLPA, you will work alongside licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to provide essential services to students in need. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children while receiving competitive compensation and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to implement therapy plans and interventions for students.
- Provide direct support to students in individual or group settings as prescribed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records as required by district and state regulations.
- Communicate effectively with team members, parents, and other stakeholders to support student success.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field.
- Completion of an SLPA program approved by the California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board.
- Valid California SLPA license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- At least one year of recent experience working as an SLPA in a school or clinical setting.
- Knowledge of best practices in speech-language therapy and special education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
