Central School District 13J - School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) (Onsite) - Full-Time (2 Positions Available)
Make a Difference by Helping Students Communicate Effectively!
Central School District 13J is seeking two passionate and dedicated School Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to join our team and support students with communication needs across our Independence, OR schools (K-12).
About the Positions:
These are full-time (37.5 hours per week) on-site positions. You will play a vital role in identifying, evaluating, and treating students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students (K-12).
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with communication needs.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to address speech, language, and fluency disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, general education paraprofessionals, and other school staff to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Monitor student progress and make adjustments to IEPs as needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
- A valid and current Oregon Teaching License with a basic or standard speech endorsement OR an appropriate license as determined by the Oregon State Board of Licensure for SLPs.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development, disorders, and treatment approaches.
- Experience working with a K-12 student population is preferred.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- CPR/First Aid Certification required.
