School District near Traverse City Searching for Speech Language Pathologist | Virtually

VocoVision is partnering with a school district in Michigan in search of a remote Speech Therapist for a full or part time role. This position will treat you as an independent contractor, meaning you'll be able to schedule your own work hours while providing online services for students in need. All contracts with VocoVision are 1099 with the goal of offering better flexibility. Position Details
- 1099 independent contracting structure
- K-12 grade caseload with mild-moderate symptoms
- Full and part time hours (see below for more details)
- Zoom Plus application (HIPAA/FERPA compliant)
- Ability to bill for both direct and indirect hours per week
Start and End Dates: ASAP to End-of-School-Year
School Hours: 8:00 to 3:30 PM
- Full-time: 35-40 hours per week.
- Part-time: 15-30 hours per week.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related degree.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
- Michigan license as an SLP.
- Two years of experience in a school setting (preferred).
- Professional liability insurance coverage to work with students.
- Home computer with camera and microphone functions with strong internet connection.
Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual assessments and evaluations for speech, language, communication, and articulation needs.
- Provide remote therapy and intervention services as needed based on specific IEP needs.
- Develop Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) for each student based on results of assessments.
- Utilize online toolkit via Zoom Plus to provide remote evaluations and therapy.
- Collaborate with onsite teachers and professionals to advocate for student needs.
- Participate in virtual IEP meetings with family and faculty members.
