School-based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, Columbus NC

Calling on Speech-Language Pathology Assistants who want to work with preschool students, and who can work a 12-week assignment in the mountains of North Carolina! Soliant is working with a local school district in Columbus, NC, and is seeking a substitute SLPA to cover a preschool caseload.
Details of the position:
- Collaborate with a remote SLP to pull students out of classrooms, assist with logging on, and redirect students during the therapy session
- Ensure therapist and students have access to materials they need
- Support SLP with administrative duties as needed
- Serve as a facilitator for staff meetings, which will be in a hybrid format of a remote therapist and in-person staff
This is a great opportunity for both SLPAs who love working with younger children, or for applicants with Early Childhood experience, and want to observe speech therapy.
We seek candidates who:
- Either have experience with Speech therapy, or in Early Childhood
- Are flexible and adaptable
- Professional and accountable
- Bring excellent communication skills
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Communications Disorders
- Passing score on EITHER:
- North Carolina Jurisprudence examination AND North Carolina SLP-A administered exam
- OR Speech Assistant Certification, issued by the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA)
