Position: School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Queens, New York
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, and communication skills.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' unique communication needs and facilitate their academic success.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings, targeting areas such as articulation, language, fluency, and pragmatic skills.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication development across various settings.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjust intervention strategies as necessary, and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to review goals and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- New York state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school-based or clinical setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
