School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Fort Smith, AR
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' communication challenges and support their academic success.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings, targeting areas such as articulation, language comprehension, and social communication skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to integrate speech-language goals into the classroom curriculum and promote a supportive learning environment.
- Monitor students' progress through ongoing assessment and adjust intervention strategies as needed.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Arkansas state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
