Position Overview: We are seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the upcoming school year in Port Angeles, WA. The SLP will work within the educational setting to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in students, ensuring they have the necessary support to achieve their academic and developmental goals.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students' speech and language needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' communication goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' progress and integration into the educational environment.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and treatment interventions.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current license to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Washington.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Minimum of one year of recent experience in a school-based setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
