Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join a school in Westwood, MA. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide support and assistance in implementing speech and language therapy services for students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist in conducting assessments and developing treatment plans for students with speech and language disorders.
- Provide direct therapy services to students under the guidance and direction of the supervising SLP.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to implement therapy goals and strategies into the classroom setting.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, student progress, and communication with stakeholders.
- Participate in professional development activities and ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field.
- Massachusetts licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with speech and language disorders preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
