School Based SLPA Position - Full Time Hours
Floresville, TX
We are currently seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team for the upcoming school year in Floresville, Texas. As a vital member of our school-based team, you will be instrumental in supporting students' communication and language development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field
- Valid Texas Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license
- Experience working with special education students and families
- Compliance with all local and state regulations
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and screenings under the direction of the Speech-Language Pathologist to identify communication disorders and delays
- Implement individual or group therapy sessions to address communication goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary
- Provide support and resources to families to facilitate carryover of skills into the home environment
- Attend team meetings, contribute to student evaluations, and participate in professional development activities
