Job Type: Fulltime, Next School Year Contract
Pay: $40+/Hour
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our virtual school network in Texas. As a Virtual School SLP, you will play a crucial role in providing speech and language services to students in schools across Texas. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely while making a significant impact on the academic and personal development of students.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of students' speech and language abilities using telepractice technology.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, teachers, and other educational professionals.
- Provide direct and indirect speech therapy services to students through virtual platforms, focusing on areas such as articulation, fluency, language, and social communication skills.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and innovative approaches to engage students in virtual therapy sessions and achieve therapeutic goals.
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting intervention strategies as needed to address evolving needs and ensure continued growth.
- Collaborate with school staff and administrators to support the integration of speech and language goals into the overall educational curriculum.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and communication with stakeholders in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay abreast of best practices, research findings, and trends in the field of speech-language pathology.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, providing guidance, support, and resources to promote carryover of skills in the home environment.
- Adhere to ethical standards and guidelines set forth by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and other relevant professional organizations.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current Texas licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working as an SLP in educational settings, preferably in virtual or telepractice environments.
- Proficiency in utilizing telepractice platforms and technology to deliver remote services.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Dedication to ongoing professional growth and development in the field of speech-language pathology.
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet, private workspace conducive to virtual therapy sessions.
