Virtual School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Remote (Idaho)
Job Type: Fulltime, Next School Year Contract
Pay: $42/Hour
Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, and communication abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet each student's specific speech and language needs.
- Provide virtual speech therapy sessions using evidence-based practices and innovative techniques to improve students' communication skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' academic and social-emotional development.
- Monitor students' progress and adjust therapy interventions as needed to ensure continued growth and success.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant information in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Participate in virtual meetings, professional development opportunities, and team discussions to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Stay current on best practices, research findings, and trends in the field of speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid Idaho state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Prior experience working as an SLP in a school setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals.
- Proficiency in using virtual therapy platforms and technology tools for remote service delivery.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a virtual work environment.
- Commitment to cultural competence, diversity, equity, and inclusion in education and therapy practice.
