Position Overview:
• Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist
• Contract Type: Full-time or Part-time
• Duration: School year 2024/2025
• Location: Remote position based in Illinois
Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough assessments to identify communication and swallowing disorders.
• Develop personalized treatment plans guided by assessment outcomes, student objectives, and evidence-based methodologies.
• Administer therapeutic interventions encompassing speech and language therapy, voice modulation, fluency techniques, and swallowing therapy.
• Employ a range of strategies and tools to enhance communication abilities, refine speech articulation, and nurture language comprehension and expression.
• Foster collaboration with families, caregivers, and fellow professionals to offer guidance and support to students managing communication disorders.
• Regularly monitor and document progress, adapt treatment strategies as necessary, and conduct ongoing assessments of results.
Qualifications:
• Hold a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Possess valid and active state licensure as an SLP or be eligible for licensure.
• Preference for Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
• Previous experience working with diverse demographics and age groups is highly advantageous.
• Strong familiarity with assessment tools, therapeutic methodologies, and evidence-based practices within the field of speech-language pathology.
