Part/Full-time Speech-Language Pathologist, Bowie MD

Calling on Speech-Language Pathologists based in the metro D.C. area, seeking a flexible contract assignment! Soliant is working with a local school District and is seeking part or full-time contractors.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communications Disorders
- Maryland Speech-Language Pathology License
- Availability of at least 3 days per week
Applicants will be assigned sites based on their clinical expertise, and the work responsibilities that they are able to fulfill. While Soliant typically seeks candidates who are able to provide direct therapy and case management support, the District will also accommodate applicants who may choose to conduct more evaluations and IEPs, and pare down their direct therapy responsibilities.
As a school-based SLP, you will:
- Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs.
- Determine student eligibility, presenting evaluation results to parents
- Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for students with identified speech and language disorders.
- Develop individualized education plans and present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations.
- Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns.
- Maintain accurate records for all students on the caseload.
- Provide reports of a student’s progress to parents.
- Organize student caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school.
- Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development.
