Job Title: School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Illinois, USA
Contract Type: Part-time, ASAP to EOSY (End of School Year) and potentially NSY (Next School Year)
Hours per Week: Part-time, specific hours to be discussed during the interview process
Itinerant & Paid Travel: Travel required within the designated school district, travel expenses compensated
Caseload/Workload: K-12 caseload, workload model dependent on candidate preference and district policy. Caseload cap determined by district regulations and candidate experience.
Description: We are seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in supporting students across a K-12 spectrum within our school district in Illinois. This is a contract position with immediate start dates, offering competitive pay and guaranteed hours. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with educators and families to assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with communication disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address students' communication goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic and social success.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and treatment plans.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input on students' goals and progress.
- Stay current with best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure in Illinois.
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in a school setting, is advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to professional development and ongoing learning.
