Part- or Full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (K-8)
Ithaca, NY
Calling on Speech-Language Pathologists seeking a flexible contract assignment, who are based in the area of Ithaca, NY! Soliant is seeking a part- or full-time contract Speech-Language Pathologist to cover the Spring semester.
The applicant will cover an elementary and a middle school--elementary services are scheduled from 8 to 10:30 AM at the elementary school, and from 10:45 AM to 3:30 PM at the middle school. Full-time applicants are welcome, but part-time applicants who can block out time within either time frame are welcome too.
Additional information about the District, and the building assignments, will be shared in a direct interview with school administrators, following a successful phone screening with Soliant representatives.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communications Disorders
- New York TSSLD credential
As a school-based SLP, you will:
- Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs.
- Determine if new referrals qualify for services
- Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for students with identified speech and language disorders.
- Develop individualized education plans and present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations.
- Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns.
- Maintain accurate records for all students on the caseload.
- Provide reports of a student’s progress to parents.
- Organize student caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school.
- Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development.
