Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) – Portland, OR Area

Key Duties:
• Work closely with Speech-Language Pathologists to execute treatment plans and interventions aimed at achieving speech, language, and communication objectives.
• Participate in conducting assessments and evaluations to collect data on students' speech and language skills.
• Deliver individual or group therapy sessions to students under the guidance of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Track and record client progress, adjusting treatment plans when necessary.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic methods and exercises to enhance speech articulation, comprehension, and expressive language.
• Support students in developing and improving social communication abilities.
• Teach students and their families strategies to aid communication outside of therapy.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related discipline.
• Active certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) from an accredited organization.
• Preferred experience working with individuals with communication challenges.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
