Position Overview: We're seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children in a school setting and will be skilled in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders. This role will involve collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized treatment plans and support students' communication needs across various settings.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech and language disorders
- Provide direct therapy services to students in both individual and group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication goals within the classroom and beyond
- Monitor progress, collect data, and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational plans
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid South Carolina license or eligibility for licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
