Caseload Ages: PreK through high school
Description: We're currently seeking a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Waukegan, IL. This position is available in both full-time and part-time capacities. The duration spans from July 31st, 2024, to May 27th, 2025. Our caseload covers a wide age range, from PreK through high school. We welcome candidates at all levels, including Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), and provide comprehensive mentorship. Candidates must hold the necessary certifications from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) and possess a Professional Educator License (PEL). Familiarity with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems is essential. As a bilingual district, monolingual candidates will work with interpreters to support our diverse student population.
Requirements:
- Acceptance of CFY candidates with provided mentorship
- Possession of IDFPR and PEL certifications
- Comfort with AAC systems
- Willingness to work with interpreters in a bilingual district
Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Provide therapy services to students across PreK through high school levels
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student needs
Note: This role offers flexibility in terms of full-time or part-time status and provides mentorship for CFY candidates. Additionally, candidates must have the required certifications and be comfortable working in a bilingual environment.
