Lancaster, PA: K-2 Speech-Language Pathologist
Lancaster, PA
Calling on Speech-Language Pathologists who:
- Love working with students in the Kindergarten to 2nd grade age group
- Are seeking more manageable caseload numbers, and
- Are flexible with a position working as a long term substitute
Soliant is working with a small school community just outside of Lancaster, PA, and is seeking a contract SLP to help finish out the school year.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Pennsylvania SLP license
- Education certificate (from the Pennsylvania Department of Education) is highly recommended
Assignment and caseload information:
- K-2 students
- Caseload of 47 students, with 25 being speech only, and 22 receiving speech and other related services
- Start: ASAP
- End: end of school year (approx. mid to late June)
As a schools-based Speech-Language Pathologist, you will:
- Evaluate new referrals on their communication abilities and determine student eligibility for speech services
- Develop Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals, and make recommendations for speech services
- Re-evaluate students on a periodic basis, and updating IEP goals if needed
- Conduct meetings and complete reports as part of the referral or dismissal process for speech students
- Document services service logs, treatment notes, and track student progress with a mix of observations or testing data
