Position Overview:
We are in urgent need of a dedicated School-Based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Lansdale, PA, located in the vibrant North Philly area. This full-time position is needed ASAP, and you will work with students in grades K-8th, focusing on assisting them with their speech and language development, including makeup work and helping them excel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting speech and language assessments to identify students' unique communication needs.
- Implement individualized therapy plans under the supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services within the school environment.
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure students' overall well-being and progress.
- Support students in completing makeup work and improving their communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania state license as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
- Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences or a related field.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to excel in a school-based setting.
- Experience with K-8th grade students is advantageous.
