Gurnee, IL, School-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Soliant is collaborating with a mid-sized suburban district near Gurnee, IL and is seeking a contract Speech-Language Pathologist with expertise in AAC (Alternative Augmentative Communication), or with children with low incidence disabilities.
We are currently working with multiple openings with elementary level students. Additional information about the school, and the building assignments, will be shared in a direct interview with school administrators, following a successful phone screening with Soliant representatives.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communications Disorders
- Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License, issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Professional Educators' License (PEL), issued by the Illinois State Board of Education
As a school-based SLP, you will:
- Assess students referred for speech services
- Present evaluation results and propose IEP (Individual Education Plan) goals at IEP meetings
- Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for students with identified speech and language disorders.
- Develop individualized education plans and present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations.
- Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns.
- Maintain accurate records for all students on the caseload.
- Provide reports of a student’s progress to parents.
- Organize student caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school.
- Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development.
