Job Title: School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Contract Type: Temporary, Contract Position
Duration: ASAP to End of School Year (EOSY) and possibility of extension into Next School Year (NSY)
Hours per Week: Full-time
Caseload/Workload: K-12, with workload tailored based on candidate experience and preferences. District utilizes a workload model. Caseload cap determined based on experience and preference.
Description:
We are seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in providing exceptional services to students within our district. The successful candidate will work with students across various grade levels, utilizing their expertise to assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders. This is a contract position with guaranteed hours and competitive pay.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students' communication needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement strategies to support students' communication skills in the classroom and at home.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and treatment plans.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable insights to the development of student goals and objectives.
- Stay current on best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
- Valid state license to practice as an SLP in Illinois.
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
