Full Time Speech Language Pathologist - Willimantic, CT

We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the school year in Willimantic, CT. This full-time position offers 35 hours per week, providing speech and language services to students from Kindergarten to 12th grade. As an SLP, you will play a crucial role in assessing and supporting students' communication skills to enhance their academic success and overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
- Provide direct therapy services to students, targeting their specific communication goals and needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support students' communication skills in the classroom and other educational settings
- Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Provide consultation and training to educational staff regarding strategies and accommodations for students with communication disorders
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress, therapy sessions, and reports
- Stay informed about current research, trends, and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP in Connecticut
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a school or educational setting is preferred
- Knowledge of speech and language disorders, assessment techniques, and intervention strategies
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and educational staff
- Dedication to providing high-quality speech and language support to students
