Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Royse City, TX. This position offers the chance to work within a supportive school environment, providing vital speech therapy services to students. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to facilitate the speech and language development of students, enhancing their academic and social skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with various speech and language disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that cater to the specific needs of each student.
- Collaborate with school personnel and parents to create a cohesive support system that fosters communication skills among students.
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and recommendations for student support services.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of student progress and therapeutic interventions.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or equivalent field.
- Valid Texas state license as an SLP.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA or eligible for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
- Experience in a school setting is preferred, but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building relationships with students, staff, and parents.
