Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time position in Hood River, OR. This role is available from ASAP to June 20 and involves working 40 hours per week. You will be responsible for a caseload of 50-60 students, with case management for 30-35, across grades K-5 (approximately 2 days/week) and grades 9-12 (3 days per week).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to determine students' individual communication needs.
- Develop and implement personalized therapy plans for students.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services within the school environment.
- Manage case responsibilities, ensuring students' progress is tracked and their needs are met.
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure students' overall well-being and progress.
- Utilize specialized skills in Autism interventions to support the needs of students with this diagnosis.
- Potentially consider CF/SLPA candidates for additional support.
Qualifications:
- Active Oregon state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with school-based speech therapy and students in grades K-5 and 9-12 is advantageous.
- Specialized training or certification in Autism intervention.
