Overview: We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist or Assistant to fill a full-time position in Carthage, TN. This role involves working in a school setting, where you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders in students. Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and screenings of speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on individual student needs.
- Collaborate with educational professionals to integrate speech therapy with classroom activities.
- Provide direct therapy and support to students, monitoring their progress and adjusting interventions as necessary.
- Document therapy sessions and communicate findings and progress to parents and staff.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology for SLP candidates or a Bachelor’s Degree for SLPA candidates.
- Valid Tennessee state license as an SLP or SLPA, or eligibility for such licensure.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA preferred for SLP candidates.
- Experience in a school setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage students and collaborate with a team.
