Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to implement therapeutic interventions and treatment plans for students.
- Assist in conducting screenings and assessments to identify communication disorders.
- Provide direct support to students in individual or group settings to improve speech and language skills.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and treatment plans.
- Support classroom teachers in implementing strategies to enhance communication in educational settings.
- Participate in team meetings, IEP (Individualized Education Program) development, and parent conferences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) program or related field.
- State SLPA license or eligibility to obtain one in Maryland.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience working with children or adolescents preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
