Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time contract position in Ruidoso, NM. As a vital member of our team, you will work in a school-based setting, collaborating with educators, administrators, and families to provide exceptional speech and language services to students. Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure in New Mexico.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience working with special education students and families highly preferred.
- Knowledge of local and state regulations pertaining to speech-language pathology services in educational settings.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students’ speech, language, and communication abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students’ communication goals and needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups, utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students’ academic and social-emotional growth.
- Monitor and document students’ progress towards goals, adjusting intervention strategies as needed.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of students’ educational plans.
- Provide consultation and training to teachers and support staff on strategies to facilitate communication and language development in the classroom.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including progress notes, evaluations, and reports.
- Stay informed about current research, trends, and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology.
