Job Description: We are seeking a qualified and experienced School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide exceptional services to students in the Blue Island area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in speech and language pathology within a school setting and will be dedicated to helping students achieve their communication goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Provide direct therapy services to students with a variety of speech and language needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on student progress
Educational and Licensing Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Current Illinois state license in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred
- Professional Educator License (PEL) with endorsement in Speech-Language Pathology required
- At least one year of recent experience in a school setting
