Calling on Speech-Language Pathologists who enjoy working in education settings, and want to work in a charter school! Soliant has partnered with a local school in Cumberland, RI, and is seeking a contract SLP to work with a small caseload.
Details on the caseload:
- 25 K-4 students
- 6 students in grades 7-8
- Handful of transition program students who are on consult
Additional information about the school will be shared in a direct interview with school administrators, following a successful phone screening with Soliant representatives.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communications Disorders
- Rhode Island Speech-Language Pathology License
- Prior experience in school settings is preferred--we seek candidates who can operate independently
As a school-based SLP, you will:
- Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs.
- Develop a therapy plan for students who are eligible for speech services
- Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for students with identified speech and language disorders.
- Develop individualized education plans and present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations.
- Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns.
- Maintain accurate records for all students on the caseload.
- Provide reports of a student’s progress to parents.
- Organize student caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school.
- Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development.
