Job Description:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist to join our team in San Jose, CA. As a Contract School Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the emotional, social, and academic development of students within the school district. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and provide appropriate interventions and support services.
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress, develop intervention strategies, and make recommendations for academic and behavioral interventions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessment results, progress reports, and intervention plans.
- Stay current with best practices in the field of school psychology and participate in professional development activities as required.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School Psychology.
- Previous experience working as a School Psychologist in an educational setting preferred.
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills, including experience with standardized assessment tools.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and multicultural communities.
- Commitment to providing high-quality services and advocating for the needs of all students.
