CCC - SLP position at a school in the Chicago area | Full time, on-site
We at ProCare are collaborating with a school district in the Chicago area that is looking for a credentialed Speech Language Pathologist to begin working in an on-site position for the 24/25 school year.
This full time position is for the 24/25 school year as well as likely renewal for next school year. It's a Kth - 12th school district, and you'll be working with a max caseload of 60 students. All interested applicants must hold an active IL SLP license in hand as well as a teaching license as required by the state of Illinois or be willing to obtain it before starting this position.
Typical daily tasks:
- Diagnose and treat individuals who suffer from stutters, as well as vocal and cognitive communication impairments.
- Help those whose speech is affected by emotional issues, various learning disabilities and physical impairments, such as a cleft palate.
- Social communication disorders are also found individuals with other conditions, such as traumatic brain injury.
- Oversee AAC/AT needs/train and support staff in use of AAC tools
- Pay rates are always negotiable but depend on previous caseload experience and typically range from $45 - $55 per hour
Qualifications:
- Masters level degree in Speech and Language Pathology or related field
- Asha CCC's are Highly Preferred but the school might be open to providing supervision for CFY's
- Illinois state licensure for Speech Language Pathology
