Job Title: Full-Time School Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
Location: Mount Vernon, WA 98273
Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic School Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. As an SLPA, you will work closely with licensed speech-language pathologists to support students with communication disorders and delays in educational settings. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders or related field
- Washington State SLPA Certification
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of speech and language therapy interventions as directed by licensed speech-language pathologists
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to support speech and language goals
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
