About Thief River Falls School District:
Thief River Falls School District is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team for the 2024-25 school year. We are committed to providing exceptional educational and therapeutic services to our students.
Position Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated SLPA to support our speech-language pathologists and help our students achieve their communication goals. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students in our district.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in conducting evaluations and assessments
- Implement individualized therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student needs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders or related field
- Minnesota SLPA license or eligibility for licensure
- Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
