24-25 School Year Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) Manassas, Virginia
Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in conducting assessments and evaluations.
- Implement therapy plans developed by SLPs to address speech and language difficulties.
- Provide direct therapy services to clients under the supervision of an SLP.
- Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other team members, including teachers and parents, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Keep detailed records of client progress and maintain documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders or related field.
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in the state of Virginia.
- Experience working with individuals with speech and language disorders preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Dedication to providing high-quality, evidence-based care.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the field.
