2024-25 Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in Houston, TX
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in providing speech and language therapy services to students.
- Implement therapy activities and interventions under the supervision of the SLP.
- Work with students in both individual and group settings to support their communication goals.
- Assist in conducting screenings and assessments to identify students' speech and language needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic and social success.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree or equivalent in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program.
- Texas state licensure or certification as an SLPA, or eligibility for licensure.
- Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
