Position Overview: As a School Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in providing speech and language services to students across our district. While the position will likely focus on elementary-level students, flexibility regarding grade levels is a plus. Whether you're experienced or just starting your career, you'll find a supportive environment with manageable caseloads and ample resources to help you succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to identify students' speech and language needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals based on assessment findings and student IEPs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, addressing areas such as articulation, language development, fluency, and social communication.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to integrate speech and language goals into the curriculum and classroom activities.
- Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant information.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Texas.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association is highly preferred.
- Prior experience working with elementary-level students is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Dedication to providing high-quality speech and language services in a supportive and inclusive educational environment.
Working Hours:
- Full-time position (may consider part-time for candidates with CCCs)
- Monday to Friday
- Full 2024-2025 school year
