The surrounding areas of Allison, WA are looking to hire an SLP professional for the school year. Below are details concerning the position and the expectations of future applicants:

• Full-time (open to part-time candidates)
• SLPs/SLPAs: Our SLP positions work 7.5 hours per day on student contact days with late starts and early releases worked as full days. SLPs are required to have an ESA cert before starting, and must have an NPI #, as well as, a WA DoH license in place shortly after starting.

Expectations:

Speech-language pathologist will be working with students who have problems with speech and language, including related cognitive or social communication problems. Problems may range from being unable to speak at all, to having difficulties with rhythm and fluency problems, such as stuttering.

Goals:

You will be expected to foster and facilitate means of communication, including oral speech production, sign language and augmentative/alternative communication (AAC). The main objective is to provide a means for individuals to communicate their wants, needs, thoughts, concerns, or opinions.
