Pediatric Skilled Nursing Facility Speech Pathologist in San Francisco, CA
This opportunity is ideal for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensed in California to provide essential therapy services in a dynamic educational setting. The position requires expertise in pediatric speech therapy within a school environment, supporting preschool and elementary-age students. The role is a contract assignment covering a leave of absence for approximately 3 to 4 months, with the possibility of extending through the end of the school year.
Location: San Francisco, CA
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6 hours per day
Start Date: Immediate
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech and language therapy to preschool and elementary students in-person, ensuring compliance with all applicable educational and healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate closely with educators and families to develop effective therapy goals and track progress according to established treatment plans.
- Conduct evaluations and screenings to identify speech and language disorders and recommend appropriate interventions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license.
- Experience working in school settings with pediatric populations.
- Familiarity with clinical fellowship year (CFY) and knowledge of CCC requirements for speech-language pathology.
- Strong ability to engage children in therapy while fostering a supportive learning environment.
