Travel Speech Pathologist - Prestonsburg, KY

A Speech Language Pathologist role is available for a 13-week travel assignment in Prestonsburg, KY, at a 340-bed hospital setting. This position offers a stable 40-hour workweek on an 8-hour day shift from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with rotation every fourth weekend and holiday coverage as needed. This opportunity requires experienced professionals comfortable with both inpatient rehabilitation and acute care environments, including occasional floating to acute care units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech-language pathology services in both inpatient rehabilitation and acute care settings.
- Manage a diverse case load within a large hospital system.
- Use Epic for accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Adapt to changing clinical situations with resilience and professionalism.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Kentucky State License and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in hospital-based speech therapy.
- Demonstrated skill level in inpatient rehabilitation (IPR) and acute care.
- Strong communication skills and adaptability.
- Comfortable adhering to a navy blue scrub dress code.
- COVID-19 vaccination required unless eligible for approved exemptions, with weekly PCR testing responsibility if declined.
