Travel Speech & Language Pathology - Prestonsburg, Kentucky

An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to provide specialized therapy services within a hospital setting. This role involves working primarily in acute care at a 340-bed medical center located in Prestonsburg, KY. The position offers a travel contract for 13 weeks with guaranteed full-time hours.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language pathology services with a focus on acute care patients.
- Float as needed to cover acute care units.
- Utilize Epic for accurate and timely charting.
- Adhere to infection control protocols, including COVID-19 vaccination or approved testing requirements.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver patient-centered care.
- Maintain professionalism and adaptability in a dynamic hospital environment.
Schedule/Hours:
- 40 hours per week guaranteed.
- 8-hour day shifts, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Work every 4th weekend and holidays as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid Kentucky State License for Speech Language Pathology.
- Current BLS certification.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
- Prior experience with acute care and IPR (Inpatient Rehabilitation) is strongly preferred.
- Proficient in Epic electronic medical records system.
- Resilient with strong change management skills and sociable personality traits.
- Compliance with scrub color policy: navy blue.
