Speech Therapy - Post Falls, Idaho
Provide specialized speech and language therapy services to a pediatric outpatient population in a hospital setting. This contract role requires expertise in evaluating and treating a variety of pediatric speech disorders, including expressive and receptive language delays, apraxia, stuttering, and autism spectrum disorders. The position involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams consisting of occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists, and local providers to deliver comprehensive care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess speech and language skills considering educational, medical, social, and psychological factors.
- Develop and implement rehabilitative treatment plans aimed at restoring communication efficiency.
- Utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices when appropriate.
- Maintain compliance with state licensure requirements.
- Engage in regular communication and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Pathology.
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Current Idaho State Speech-Language Pathologist license or temporary provisional permit.
- Minimum of one year of experience working with pediatric neurologically impaired populations.
- Proven experience in outpatient pediatric therapy settings.
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health records system.
- Strong background in pediatric speech disorders, including language delays, apraxia, stuttering, social communication disorders, and autism spectrum disorders.
