Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop targeted therapy goals aligned with discharge planning.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to remove barriers to discharge, including equipment trialing and family education.
  • Manage individual, concurrent, and group therapy sessions to meet varied patient care needs.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation, including daily notes, goal writing, quality indicators, and discharge summaries.
  • Ensure treatments are delivered under valid physician orders and within insurance guidelines.
  • Support clinical education by supervising students and fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and adhere strictly to licensure requirements and ethical standards.
  • Participate in patient and professional advocacy efforts, including community outreach and professional organizations.
  • Uphold organizational safety standards and compliance with hospital policies, promoting a safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathology license in good standing.
  • Experience in hospital-based rehabilitation or critical illness therapy preferred.
