Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) St. Albans, VT
Requirements: Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Vermont State Licensure
Pay Range: $35-$55 per hour, based on experience
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in St. Albans, VT. In this role, you will provide speech and language therapy services to students within a school-based setting, helping them overcome communication barriers and supporting their academic and social development. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments for students with speech, language, and communication challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on the needs and goals of each student.
- Provide direct therapy services in both individual and group settings.
- Monitor student progress and make necessary adjustments to therapy goals and techniques.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students’ overall development.
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to the creation of individualized goals and plans for students.
- Provide education and guidance to parents and school staff on strategies to support speech and language development.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and evaluations.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Current Vermont State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.
- Experience working in a school-based setting is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Passionate about helping children improve their communication skills and succeed in their educational environment.
