Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Opening Near Elgin, IL

Soliant is excited to announce a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a prestigious school district near Elgin, Illinois. This full-time position is available immediately and extends until May 24, 2024, encompassing a diverse caseload across different age groups and settings, including bilingual Spanish students in one elementary building, Early Childhood, and additional elementary students.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate speech and language needs of students within the specified age groups and settings
- Develop and implement customized treatment plans to address communication disorders effectively
- Provide direct speech therapy services to students in the designated elementary, bilingual Spanish, and Early Childhood settings
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to support student progress and align therapy goals with educational objectives
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, student progress reports, and effectively communicate with the interdisciplinary team
- Adapt therapy techniques and interventions to meet the diverse needs of students within the selected age groups and settings
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Speech Language Pathologist license
- Previous experience or a strong interest in working with bilingual Spanish students, Early Childhood, and elementary-aged children in an educational setting
- Availability to work full-time from ASAP until May 24, 2024, dedicating 37.5 hours per week to the role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, staff, and families
- Dedication and passion to positively contribute to students' speech and language development
- Ability to manage responsibilities efficiently and adapt to varying student needs across different age groups and settings
