Description:
We are seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school-based team in Maple Glen, PA. This position is a temporary, full-time role covering maternity leave. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with educators and other professionals to assess, diagnose, and provide intervention for students with communication disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify speech and language disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students as per their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, progress, and interventions.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational plans.
- Stay informed about current research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Pennsylvania state licensure and ASHA certification.
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Understanding of special education processes and regulations.
