A school district in High Point, NC is now interviewing candidates for a Speech Language Pathologist position. The therapist will work full-time with elementary school students at 1-2 school sites in the district. Candidates must have a master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology, an active North Carolina SLP license, and previous experience working in a pediatric or school-based setting. Clinical Fellow will be considered for this position if they have completed a school-based clinical placement.

The therapist will be responsible for the following:

  • Conducting screenings for students to determine if they qualify for speech services
  • Administering assessments, evaluations, and analyze the results.
  • Collaborating with classroom teachers and administrators on IEP goals for students on caseload.
  • Providing consultative services to parents and caregivers on how to work on speech needs at home or in other settings.
  • Completing IEP paperwork and assessments in a timely manner.
  • Preforming other speech-related duties as assigned by administrators
